Academic Programs
This is both a school and a vision, both a path to your future and the future of a new discipline. Bergin University of Canine Studies delivers comprehensive, hands-on education to post-secondary students wanting to learn more about the role of the dog in human society and the ever-growing potential to use dogs as a conduit to understanding more about ourselves. From our Canine Studies professional certificate programs, to our Associate of Science, Bachelor of Science, and Master of Science degree programs, you will learn from caring faculty with real expertise in their fields.
Your potential careers range from management roles in canine-related businesses and service organizations, to developing innovative new dog-related products, to bringing better knowledge of the human-canine partnership into vet and medical offices, counseling centers and more. You may even create a career that doesn’t exist yet.
Since our founding in 1991, hundreds of people from 16 countries and 34 states have attended our University programs and we have graduated over a hundred service and social/therapy teams. Our groundbreaking research in teaching dogs to read, early pup training, and High Schooled-Assistance Dogs demonstrates new ways to optimize human’s interactions with dogs. These findings are shared worldwide.
