The admissions process consists of an exchange of information between the applicant and the University.
Successful completion of this exchange, including proof the student has met the University’s admission requirements, will result in an invitation to the student to attend the Bergin University of Canine Studies. In the event that a student cannot produce the appropriate documentation, the student will be refused admission unless they can present a valid case as to why this policy should be waived.
The Service Dog Seminar and High Schooled Assistance Dog Instructor
- Completion and submission of all application materials:
- Completed application form
- Required application fee
- Official transcripts indicating high school graduation, completion of GED with a passing score or most recent college transcripts
- Proof of identity
- Two letters of reference - one professional, one personal
- A one-page “Interest and Intent” essay
Assistance Dog Client Training Certificate
- Completion and submission of all application materials:
- Completed application form
- Required application fee
- Proof of identity
- Two letters of reference - one professional, one personal
- Medical History form
- A one-page “Interest and Intent” essay
- Informational interview [in person or by phone w/ video provided] with client coordinator.
